She says, “I sang the song with [Marlon] and Bradley Cooper asked us to do it on the set. The appearance is secondary to the recording of the song, but it didn’t make it onto the soundtrack,” she explained, adding that “It’s super special” and hopes that fans will get a chance to experience it in some way soon.”

As well,  JOHNNY VITALE wrote at the time for 34th Street, “Technically, Carlile and Williams are not mentioned in the songwriting credits for the soundtrack. However, they perform a duet of Roy Orbison’s “Oh, Pretty Woman” at the fictional Grammys where Jackson performs piss drunk.

The film and soundtrack itself has a few other aligned Brandi Carlile musical family members, including:

Lukas Nelson – who is credited with being the inspiration behind Bradley Cooper’s character in the 2018 remake. Nelson was a producer and co-writer on many tracks of the soundtrack. He also appears in the film.
