As teenagers Tim and Phil Hanseroth and their friend Miro Stefanov started a band together. Originally called Chutzpah, then Ohnalim, and finally landed on the Fighting Machinists.
The earliest recording in 1993 when they were about 17 years old is a self title release called Chutzpah.
The cassette was a hand colored paper cover. The tracks included:
