CD EP
This EP was self-released in 2004 and features 5 tracks – Throw it All Away, Fall Apart Again, Eye of the Needle, Tragedy, Shadow on the Wall. The Ep was created after Brandi Carlile met the twins. The credits on the back say “Recorded by Tim Hanseroth”, and include an image of the three of them.
(sidenote: there is a different version of this CD called “Unplugged” which features an extra track – a live version of Hallelujah.)
Notes on the tracks:
In her memoir, Broken Horses, Brandi Carlile says, Tragedy is written about the band members early young respective loves.
The songs 1, 2 and 4 were included on their first studio album – self titled – ‘Brandi Carlile‘.
Song 5 – Shadow on the Wall, featured on their second studio album The Story
Track 3 – Eye of the Needle, while never released on a studio album, is occasionally played live by the band, and according to Brandi Carlile (during a streams campfire special during Covid), is one of Pink’s favourite tracks from those early days.
