Brandi Carlile provides feature vocals on the song – It all Fades Away on Jennifer Nettles 2021 solo album Always Like New. Jennifer Nettles is one-half of the country duo Sugarland.
It was an unusual departure for Brandi Carlile, with the song a cover from the 2013 Broadway musical interpretation of the novel Bridges of Madison County.
The album itself is a nod to Broadway inspired music. In a Rolling Stone article Jennifer Nettles said “As a child who grew up in musical theatre, this album feels like a homecoming to me. I savored every note of singing and arranging these songs with Alex Lacamoire,” Nettles said in a release. “It is thrilling to be able to celebrate this amazing songwriting with arrangements and vocals that allow them to be rediscovered anew.”
The album itself is available in all formats including several versions of colored vinyl.
