On September 13th 2023 at the Hollywood Bowl, Brandi Carlile came on stage as a special guest of Jacob Collier to premiere their new single “Little Blue”. Tributed to Joni Mitchell, it was announced the single will come out the following week on September 21st. Perhaps inspired by Blue and Little Green by Joni Mitchell.
The song is the first off the recently announced new Jacob Collier album – Djesse 4, coming out in February 2024.

Jacob is a long time “Joni Jammer” and has visited the Joni Jams from around 2021. Brandi Carlile once referred to him as an “unlocked” musical genius. (In the same breath saying she wasn’t).
“Despite not publicly performing anymore, Mitchell was eager to put her home full of instruments to good use and has since hosted stars like Raitt, John, Parton, Herbie Hancock, Harry Styles and Jacob Collier.”
