An unofficial live show release from an early solo show. The timing of the show is after the release of her first album – Room For Me, (as she references it in the live recording.)

Acquired by The Unofficial Archivist through a private collection it contains a collection of early Brandi Carile songs before the official ‘Brandi Carlile’ band was created.

It features an early recording of the solo version of Happy which eventually featured on the band’s debut album, Brandi Carlile and Until I Die which featured on the second studio album The Story.

The fantastic harmonies and harmonica are by her brother Jay Carlile, who Brandi references in her book Broken Horses as singing with her as much as possible in solo gigs after leaving their earlier band The Shed. (this is to be confirmed). They were even thinking of getting a record deal, but it never eventuated.

There is a great accapella cover of the song Seven Bridges Road, made famous by The Eagles (But originally recorded in 1969 by Steve Young). As well as an interesting interpretation of The Lion Sleeps Tonight.

The track 5-00 features some fantastic harmonic work by Jay.
