A new album, Returning to Myself, from Brandi Carlile was announced in September 2025, available for pre-order for the 24th October release. It was launched with the single release, the title track.

Produced by Brandi Carlile, Andrew Watt (Who Believes In Angels?), Andrew Dessner (The National) and Justin Vernon (Bon Ivir), it’s the first Brandi Carlile album since In These Silent Days in 2022 and her 8th full-length studio album.

The other two brand members Tim and Phil Hanseroth have contributed songs in the form of writing and playing.

It’s a new era for Brandi Carlile, leaving behind the Shooter Jennings era, that provided the last two band albums, and the two Tanya Tucker two albums produced by the band.

The other musicians include members that played on the Who Believes in Angels Elton John release earlier in 2025, including Josh Klinghoffer, as well as Sista Strings duo from their touring band.

The mastering engineer continues to be Pete Lyman.

The band is now on a new label, as a joint release from Interscope and Lost Highway, (the latter being the newly revived Americana imprint that is now part of the Interscope family.

It’s available in all formats including dolby atmos. Upon release several signed copies were made available of both CD and Vinyl from the artist store.
