Song – Tie Your Mother Down

Brandi Carlile’s cover of the Queen Brian May classic Tie Your Mother Down features on the soundtrack to the 2017 ABC miniseries When We Rise released by Hollywood Records. The song is produced by the band, and their full time engineer Jerry Streeter.

When We Rise takes a look at the LGBTQ Rights movement from the 1960’s to the present day. “The soundtrack collects original covers of classic songs that accompany the series as it travels through the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s. These songs help anchor the series in whatever time period it’s covering at any given time, while also twisting the songs to give them a new meaning in the context of the story itself,” wrote Jack O’Keef from Bustle.
